Glory Kills and the kill gates are things that I can get over because of when this game is coming out. The campaign feels like an upgraded version of the original with a few tweaks for the modern era. I can definitely see this ramping up at the higher levels. I started on Hurt Me Plenty (normal) and it's been a slight challenge. Classic features, No Reloads, well set ammo limits, automap,ģ. While this is the point of the game, not being able to progress until every enemy is dead is a bit frustrating.Ģ. Grenades, they just don't fit, but with enemies with shields, they are useful.ģ. I found myself shooting Imps from just outside shotgun kill range to set up a glory kill each time.Ģ. Just seems like you need these for health and ammo if you are a bad shot. I had a blast even if I found a few things really annoying. I didn't get a single one shot kill with rockets or the ssg.Īfter a weekend with the game, the campaign is worth $60 to me.
In Q3A it was run to a good weapon and then mow someone down, but the nerfed weapons in the loadouts kill that strategy. When I played in the beta, I sucked it up. Map timing is almost a lost art and power weapon hording is taboo in the industry and only snipers should be a one shot kill. They need a good dose of starting and respawning with nothing but a pistol or machinegun. If DooM didn't have the loadouts system, it would be perfect. I'm so sick of the new generation of gamers and their attitudes towards MP and the show offs with the 360 no scopes. Definitely going to play through Campaign first so I at least know what I'm doing before I hop into multiplayer.I don't care about getting destroyed as long as the CoD and Halo junkies get destroyed as well. Maybe someday with enough patience I'll be able to not get my ass kicked all the time. I'm really nervous about that haha it does look a lot like unreal tournament with the play speed and judging by my recent attempt at playing CoD after years away I'm probably going to have an awful time getting started. With the population of CoD I think the multiplayer will do fine, but it certainly is not traditional Doom like game play on that side and if you go into the multiplayer expecting some sort of Doom experience I think you will be disappointed go in not expecting anything but a good time and I am sure you will enjoy it if you enjoy similar (halo?) multiplayer experiences.Īgain this is from a guy who has only watched videos and commentaries/ news reels, but I think it is logical to expect two very different experiences from the single player and multiplayer game types.Īs for the single player, it looks amazing I really enjoyed Doom 3D so I hope to enjoy this (if I can ever get to it) but I am not sure what to expect. Multiplayer was designed by the same group that did the the last few Halos multiplayer systems I haven't tried the game yet as nothing I have will run it but all the videos of multiplayer look like Halo with demons (Not a bad thing) and then they added the speed to try and give it more of a traditional Doom feel (Run and Gun). Definitely going to play through Campaign first so I at least know what I'm doing before I hop into multiplayer.
Kinda had the unreal tournament feel, but then again, I got slaughtered pretty much every time I played.ĭoubt I'll be picking this one up anytime soon. The camera was my issue at certain points, but as for frames and smoothness/load all felt pretty good.Ĭhris (Microsoft) wrote:I tried the multiplayer beta on the Xb1 and felt like a n00b playing.
I DONT HAVE E EVER DOOM 2016 SNAPMAP PC
Can't speak much to the PC engine, but it was running very reasonable on PS4.
I DONT HAVE E EVER DOOM 2016 SNAPMAP PS4
I was sitting there with PC on and my PS4 on and made the decision to go PS4 :( I recently got a really nice TV and figured Doom would be scarier/more exciting on a giant screen instead of my monitor. Has it gotten any better with the production release? I tried playing the beta on my PC and the engine was really clunky.
